A research team at the University of Toronto has done an analysis of the data currently available and found that, controlling for other variables, it does not appear that environmental temperature has an appreciable impact on the spread of SARS-CoV-2. The study looks at 144 countries and compares the period of time where the virus was first taking hold, as opposed to being fully established.
