Following up on an alarm sounded earlier this week by doctors at NHS in the UK , we now have a name for the strange syndrome causing inflamed heart tissue in children affected by COVID-19. Kawasaki disease, a rare inflammatory syndrome that typically affects children under 5 years of age. The first case has been identified in a child in the US:
